I was hyped for this book when it came out, note that that was two years go. I finally got the book, and it wasn’t what I expected it to be. But in a good way! It definitely reminded me of the horror stories I read when I was a kid.
Yeah, certain elements in the book definitely made my eyes roll. But in the end, I liked the main story. Even the plot twist that made people dislike it. Maybe I liked it, because it reminded me of all those books I read when I was younger.
I only would recommend you this book if you are a fan of high-paced horror. The book didn’t keep me on the edge of my seat, or that kept me up at night.
But I did enjoy this book and it made me remember the awesome and gruesome books younger me loved (and I still do).
I ended up giving this book 4 out of 5 stars.
