Taken at Dusk is the third installment in the Shadowfall series. Click here for my review of book #1, click here for my review of book #2. Be aware of spoilers if you haven’t read the first two books!
Kylie Galen still has no idea what she is, but se badly wants to know, to not feel left out anymore and to belong to a group.
She also has boy trouble, which should not come as a big surprise in a young adult book. In this book, you’ll notice the love triangle a bit more than in the first two books. But isn’t an annoying love triangle, but I already told you guys that in my other two reviews!
I had a hard time actually getting in to this book, which sucked, because I really enjoy this series.
Luckily, once I actually sat down to read (and made some time for reading). I immediately read a hundred pages in one sitting. After this point, I got more into this book, and it reads the same as the other two books.
I think I had some trouble because I read book #2 before this one, and it made this book a bit boring. Luckily, this feeling didn’t last for too long though!
The ending of this book was kind of abrupt. A lot of things were happening, and I would habe preferred if the ending was written a bit more detailed. So the ending was definitely some sort of crazy roller coaster with a sudden drop.
But I liked the plot twist a lot. They fore sure were unexpected especially for a book that contains some cheesy young adult stuff.
Once again, I would recommend the series and cannot wait to read the last two books in the series! I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars.
