TBR November + wrap-up October

Okay, so I got into a slump last month, and at the end of September I was like “let’s read a Stephen King novel”.

  • Mercedes – Stephen King

So uhm yeah. That took me like two weeks to finish? Which didn’t leave me with a lot of time to finish other books. But I FINALLY read a Stephen King! I am SO proud of myself. And I enjoyed Mr. Mercedes so much! Even though it took my ages to finish, I loved it! I gave it 5 stars at the end, and am definitely planning to read more Stephen King novels.

  • Stalking Jack the Ripper – Kerri Maniscalco

I got this book a few months ago, because of the hype surrounding this book. The hype left me curious, so I picked the book up. And it pleasantly surprised me! I ended up liking this book way more than I expected! I ended up giving it 4,5 stars and I really want to check out the second installment!

  • In the Company of Wolves – Cory Barclay

Back in September I got this book from Cory. I read the first book in the series (which I really enjoyed) and he send me the second one! So freaking awesome! I wanted to get to it the last month, but yeah, the slump kicked in. But I got to it this month! And I really enjoyed it! I think it was better than the first book, and I ended up giving it 4,5 stars!

These were all the books I read last month, not a lot, but three isn’t bad!

I didn’t really do last month’s TBR. Oops I guess? Oh well, some month you just can’t, and October was that month for me.

This month I’m planning to read at least two review copies I received back in October. I just hate to keep author’s waiting for reviews :/

So far, this is my TBR:

  • Where Creatures Hide – Parehuia Shepard [review copy]
  • Zarox – Louis Smith [review copy]

Currently I’m reading Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare, because I really felt like diving back into the Shadowhunter world, so I guess you can add that to my TBR? I’m also battling my way through Flame in the Mist, but I am not so sure if I’m going to finish it. I am so not into the story, main character or the writing style. I just makes my eyes roll and feels so fake. Like someone tried to write about an empowering female character, but it just ended up being a huge fail (and it is such a cliché read so far (I don’t know how to fight, but suddenly I can)).

What have you read last month, and what is your TBR for this month?
