TBR February + Wrap-up January

Another month has passed, which means another TBR and wrap-up!

Let’s start with the wrap-up of January!

Wrap-up January

In January I read a total of 4 books, or 1938 pages J Which is a lot of pages!

I started my month with Six of Crows, but I was disappointed with that one. It wasn’t at all what I expected it to be, and I ended up giving it 3,5 stars.

Next up I decided it was time for a Dutch book, so I read Phobos. It is actually translated to Dutch, but I heard amazing stories about this series, so I had to check it out. But it ended up feeling quite childish, which was a bit disappointing. I gave it 3 stars.

So January wasn’t off to a great start, with two disappointing reads. So I decided to change it, and read a book that has been on my shelf for years. I picked up The Final Empire. Which is quite a large paperback (over 600 pages long) so I was kind of terrified of breaking the spine. But I didn’t! I would cry if I did though. And I really ended up loving the book! I enjoyed the writing style so much. And it never read like a slow and boring book. So I ended up giving the book 5 stars!

My last read of the month was Scythe. I loved the sound of the synopsis, and the book didn’t disappoint! It ended up being a very fast-paced read, what I loved. So yeah, highly recommend this one! And I am definitely planning on picking up the sequel soon!

TBR February

Another month, another TBR. I’m not planning on having a big TBR this month, because I think I’ll get pretty busy this month with school. Nevertheless, here are the books I want to read this month:

  • Een Canvas vol Liefde (Dutch review copy)- Marie Claire Julian;
  • Reign of the Fallen – Sarah Glenn Marsh;
  • An Enchantment of Ravens – Margaret Rogerson.

So far I actually already read one book, which is the Dutch review copy. I’m planning on starting An Enchantment of Ravens soon (I’m writing this one the 2nd  of February). I was hoping to get my copy of Reign of the Fallen yesterday. I ordered it at my local bookstore, which already had a late release date (the site said the release date was on the 1st of February), but when I went to visit the store, the site said that the release date was unknown. So I ended up canceling my order and buying it on amazon. So hopefully I will arrive soon! Because I’m so freaking hyped!

      1. It’s the same for me, but sometimes I like to switch it up. As Dutch books read differently for me in a way, not necessarily easier, just different haha.
